Vietcombank muốn giữ khách hàng chịu trách nhiệm về vi phạm an ninh

Ngân hàng thương mại nhà nước Vietcombank đang đưa ra những lời chỉ trích sau khi công bố các điều khoản và chính sách được cập nhật yêu cầu khách hàng đảm bảo kết nối internet của họ không bị phần mềm độc hại.

Các điều khoản cập nhật, được thiết lập có hiệu lực vào ngày 10 tháng 5, liên quan đến việc sử dụng các dịch vụ ngân hàng trực tuyến và di động của Vietcombank cho các khách hàng cá nhân.

Theo bài viết ‘trách nhiệm bảo mật’ được cập nhật trong các điều khoản và chính sách của họ, ngân hàng sẽ yêu cầu khách hàng “chịu trách nhiệm” để đảm bảo rằng mọi thiết bị họ sử dụng để đăng nhập vào cổng trực tuyến của ngân hàng không có vi-rút và phần mềm độc hại.

Ngoài ra, các điều khoản mới làm rõ rằng khách hàng không sử dụng dịch vụ ngân hàng trực tuyến và di động từ bất kỳ thiết bị nào được kết nối với mạng cục bộ (LAN) mà không kiểm tra trước rằng họ không bị bên thứ ba theo dõi.

Nhiều khách hàng của Vietcombank đã lên tiếng lo ngại với chính sách mới của ngân hàng, nói rằng đó không phải là cách để bắt trách nhiệm trong trường hợp vi phạm an ninh.

“Số lượng phần mềm độc hại đã biết trên thế giới vượt quá 100 triệu lượt truy cập, khiến cho khó khăn, nếu không phải là không thể, ngay cả những chuyên gia bảo mật hàng đầu để xây dựng một thiết bị an toàn 100% từ phần mềm độc hại”, Nguyễn Hồng Vân, phó giám đốc Viện Công nghệ An ninh Thông tin thuộc Hiệp hội An ninh Thông tin Việt Nam.

“Người dùng thông thường có thể chắc chắn rằng thiết bị của họ sạch sẽ như thế nào với vi-rút và phần mềm độc hại?”

Ông Vân nói thêm rằng điều đó là vô lý khi Vietcombank cho rằng khách hàng hiểu khái niệm về mạng LAN, hãy để một mình có khả năng đáp ứng yêu cầu để đảm bảo rằng họ không bị bên thứ ba theo dõi trong khi kết nối với một bên.

“Ngay cả các chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực an ninh mạng cũng không thể biết được liệu họ có bị theo dõi trong khi kết nối với Internet ở các không gian công cộng, chẳng hạn như tại văn phòng hay trong một quán cà phê,” Van giải thích.

“Các điều khoản [của Vietcombank] rất khó khăn đối với một khách hàng thường xuyên tuân thủ.”

Các điều khoản cập nhật cũng cấp cho Vietcombank quyền sử dụng, lưu trữ, chuyển nhượng hoặc trao đổi thông tin cá nhân của khách hàng với bên thứ ba.
